Many of us are concerned about travelling during the global pandemic that has taken us all by surprise. It is so hard to plan when we are unsure of what the next day will hold. Yet, the drum beats, and we dance. We breathe, and we dance.

So here is some important information we'd like to share with you about Senegal, our preparations to conduct our workshop in June and our easing of workshop financial deadlines.

COVID-19 and Travel to Senegal

As of now, US travelers are permitted to enter Senegal and are not required to quarantine. Masks are encouraged in public. US travelers are required to present a negative COVID-19 test upon arrival. By June, we anticipate that things will likely be the same or better, so we have prepared a program with social distancing and COVID-19 precautions in mind.

We will be taking our temperatures daily, and if anyone is in less than optimal physical health, they will be quarantined until their doctor's visit. Dance and drum classes will take place with participants 4-6 feet apart, and all classes take place outdoors. We also have a plan in place to ensure all travelers have access to COVID-19 testing 3 days prior to their return trips to their home countries.

Financial Stuff

There will be ongoing, open registration until we are at capacity, which means we’ve done away with registration deadlines for this year. Also, we are holding all payments in an account until April 30, so if you register and change your mind, you can receive a full refund (including registration fee) up to April 30. After April 30, we have to begin paying for your workshop, so we can refund all payments except the registration fee from April 30-May 31.
