COVID-19 and Travel to Senegal
As of now, US travelers are permitted to enter Senegal and are not required to quarantine. Masks are encouraged in public. US travelers are required to present a negative COVID-19 test upon arrival. By June, we anticipate that things will likely be the same or better, so we have prepared a program with social distancing and COVID-19 precautions in mind.
We will be taking our temperatures daily, and if anyone is in less than optimal physical health, they will be quarantined until their doctor's visit. Dance and drum classes will take place with participants 4-6 feet apart, and all classes take place outdoors. We also have a plan in place to ensure all travelers have access to COVID-19 testing 3 days prior to their return trips to their home countries.
For more information, please check out the website for the US Embassy in Senegal. This is the best resource for traveling procedures and regulations, COVID-19 testing requirements (before travel), and any potential warnings.
